2021 Miami Open Fashion Aces: Tie-dye flair & more

This year's "Sunshine Single," sadly absent an early-2021 Indian Wells installment, still featured some scorching shotmaking at the Miami Open. And with that, some fresh takes and fabulously repurposed looks from the most recent major event, February's Australian Open.

First up, Frances Tiafoe blending into the court and perhaps appearing like a hovering, headbanded noggin on court—but rocking his monochrome Nike kit all the same.

Speaking of sunshine, Ana Konjuh, also sporting Nike, looked radiant as she tore through this draw. That yellow statement skirt was winsome, and suffice to say, we're all ecstatic to see her back on court—and slaying both the style game and court game, those that add up to one victory after another.

Lacoste has a clean winner in the polos it gives Daniil Medvedev, and though he suffered a surprising, straight-sets loss, that bold green and flattering, dual-stripe motif did wonders for his lanky frame. (Side note: is this the best his hair follicles have ever looked?)

Outfitted in what might be a grass-court warmup look in 10 weeks' time, Victoria Azarenka looked stylish and comfy, as if gliding on heaven's own clouds, in this all-white outfit.

A tall-tree sight to behold in Fila, Reilly Opelka brought a sense of wonderment to Miami, bedecked in a kit that includes shirt and shoes in a palette dubbed (by his sponsor) "tie dye, maui blue, lavender frost, and glacier gray." So be it. But, truly, it was the best of this bunch. What's more, that exceptional beard made for a fab natural accessory.

That team might have been an NCAA Final Four pick in my men's basketball bracket, and Naomi Osaka was giving me upscaled Purdue Boilermaker vibes in her Miami Open look. All-black up top, with a simple but intriguing skirt at the base, her kit didn't help carry her to the finish, but it did the gig for a few rounds.
