At the start of the 2025 season, Lorenzo Musetti debuted a new partnership with Asics—and a hair-raising new look.

“I decided with my girlfriend. She was the one who made the decision for me, but I’m happy to cut it,” the Italian revealed in Hong Kong when asked about the disappearance of his flowing locks.

Asked about it again at the Australian Open, the Carrara native said, “If I hadn’t had such long hair for such a long time, people wouldn’t even have noticed it.”

Tennis viewers have certainly noticed Musetti’s on-court presence. The 2024 Olympic bronze medalist has put together his best campaign to date, the European clay-court swing his standout portion of a season that will see him finish inside the year-end Top 10 for the first time.

The trim job, however? It seemingly didn't win out in the end.

Making a special inaugural appearance at this week’s Nitto ATP Finals—with some help from Novak Djokovic’s withdrawal—Musetti has come full circle on the hair subject by rocking a man bun in front of a home Turin crowd.
