A Granny Sighting

Here's an update for all you Martina Navratilova fans. Don’t you love Granny, and the way she’s blown up all those “quit while you’re on top” clichés? I don’t hear anyone saying it’s pathetic to see Martina still out there. In fact, it’s inspirational. I guess the key factor is that at her age (48 – no typo!), being able to trade shots with world class 19-year-olds borders on the miraculous. It would be a very different – and far harsher – story if Martina were 31 and losing to qualifiers.
