Adidas unveils SS24 Melbourne Collection
The brand’s athletes will be wearing the new collection, featuring Airchill technology, at the Australian Open.
The season’s first Grand Glam is known for its boisterous crowds, late nights and toasty conditions. Summer Down Under can bring searing temperatures and Adidas wants their athletes to be prepared. At the year’s opening major, the brand will debut its Airchill technology in its tennis apparel.
The lightweight material helps skin breathe with raised patterns and open mesh fabrics designed to promote airflow during intense activity. It’s strategically placed in high sweat and evaporation zones—under the armpits, chest and back—for maximum dryness. Combined with the temperature regulation properties of the Heat.Rdy technology, the garments provide optimum moisture and heat management under the toughest conditions.
The 26-piece range for men and women is made from 100% recycled materials. Different shades of green and fractal patterns have been used to evoke a sense of calm. The key colorway—Green Spark—was inspired by the soft, glowing nature of bioluminescence.
The collection is currently available for purchase on the adidas website and app, as well as tennis specialty retailers.
