On Wednesday, Adrian Mannarino submitted what will perhaps become the shot of the 2023 US Open during his second-round match against Fabian Marozsan. Doing his best impression of compatriot Gael Monfils, the 35-year-old pulled off a jumping, between-the-legs passing attempt that elicited plenty of surprise from the Court 11 crowd, followed by copious roars after he won the point with a more conventional passing shot.

The crazy thing his, his second shot of the rally—a stab backhand return—might have been just as difficult to pull off:
