Aminé focuses on tennis in new music video

Tennis continues to break into the mainstream. In a callback to the Bjorn Borg-era of tennis, Portland-native rapper Aminé created a music video centered around the sport for his song "Compensating".

The 26-year-old dove headfirst into the late 70's/early 80's, complete with wooden racquets, cassette players, and mansions lined with pink marble.

The thorough production efforts included a singing tennis ball that is unlike anything you've ever seen before.

The full video is NSFW so you can check it out here.

It's far from the first time that tennis has been mixed into hip-hop. Since the Wu-Tang Clan, tennis references have appeared in hip-hop lyrics, including Kendrick Lamar on his song "DNA" (“I just win again, then win again like Wimbledon, I serve”), Freddie Gibbs on his song "The Blow" (“Oxycontin pack, I be switchin' rackets like Djokovic”), and Pusha T on his song "Pies" ("Roger Federer Rolex, my wrist royal”).
