Anchor Savannah Guthrie reveals her Federer obsession
The co-anchor fan girls hard on The Ellen Show.
The Today Show's **Savannah Guthrie loves Roger Federer and she's not afraid for everybody to know it, even her husband. This week, she was a guest on The Ellen Show, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. They talked about some serious topics (like the Las Vegas shooting and her children's book, Princess Wear Pants, encouraging girls and boys to look beyond clothing and appearance), but a part of the interview was dedicated to Federer.
The world No. 2 truly has the 45-year-old's heart.
"That's me ... and that's Rog," Guthrie told DeGeneres. "And in case you didn't know, I wrote his name."
Guthrie, who doubles as a journalist and lawyer, attempts to rationalize why she felt it important to share shirtless photos of Federer, while DeGeneres can't quite comprehend.
Though Federer didn't pop out and surprise Guthrie on set, The Ellen Show didn't let her leave empty handed. Guthrie went home with a life-sized, shirtless cutout of the 19-time Grand Slam champion.
