And the Winner Is..

Well, we were torn here between two very different submissions, one right out of the cartoon mainstream and one very sardonic and edgy. We decided to go with the classic—the one likely to appeal to the largest number of readers. So the winner, in an entry receive via e-mail (meaning you haven't read it yet), is . . . Lydia.

**Our first runner-up entry came from Mike. We know how dodgy it is to make light of 9/11, and how easily the details of that horrific episode make people uncomfortable. But this caption is deliciously absurd:

Sania Mirza, moments after being struck in the head by a radio-controlled airplane. The militant group, Al Qaeda in Hong Kong, has claimed responsibiity for the attack.

Third place goes to "V.R." TennisWorld doesn't like to print rough language, but the impetus for this caption was the infamous I'm Cute—No Sh_t T-shirt that Mirza, in a startling lapse of taste and judgment, wore at the U.S. Open. We hate to ask again, but Sania—whatever were you thinking?
