Andreescu urges kids to stay home in CTV interview

Bianca Andreescu is a global star, but in Canada she’s much more than that.

In an effort to speak to the younger generation, who are currently having the most difficulty staying at home, Canada’s CTV news turned to Andreescu to deliver a heartfelt message.

“The one thing they can do that will eventually stop this pandemic is to stay home as much as possible,” Andreescu said. “We are all connected, if something affects someone it eventually affects another person.”

Andreescu also stressed the importance of virtual communication to help slow the spread of the virus. “Im an only child so I love hanging with my friends. But now thanks to FaceTime and other technology we have the luxury to talk to our friends," Andreescu said. "We're all in the same boat."

The times are tough for everyone, but we can always count on Andreescu using her platform wisely and responsibly.
