Andrey Rublev surpasses $20 million in career prize money after semifinal showing in Paris

Andrey Rublev gave Novak Djokovic all he could handle in the semifinals of the Rolex Paris Masters on the weekend, forcing him to serve to stay in the match twice at 4-5 and 5-6 in the second set before eventually losing a 5-7, 7-6 (3), 7-5 heartbreaker.

There’s a silver lining, though—or maybe even a golden one.

By reaching the seventh Masters 1000 semifinal of his career in the French capital, Rublev surpassed $20 million in career prize money.

He went into Paris within striking distance of that milestone at $19,851,936, and with his singles semifinal prize money cheque—plus his doubles prize money—he’s now at $20,146,588.

The 26-year-old is the 30th player in ATP history to surpass $20 million in career prize money, and just the fourth born in 1997 or later to do it after Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Carlos Alcaraz.
