Andy Murray on court again but says he could need more surgery

Andy Murray is finally back on court but says he could need more surgery for his recent injury problems.
Murray has not played since Davis Cup, where he experienced a pelvic bone bruise in practice just before the competition began. Having said little about his injury since, the 32-year-old told British press more about his planned comeback schedule.
"It's been unbelievably complex," Murray was quoted as saying. "I started practicing again a few days ago."
Murray, who had a hip resurfacing procedure at the beginning of 2019, is now assessing whether he can come back and play in this condition—which will take a few weeks.
"When people have these operations, there is something called heterotopic ossification, which is basically like bone growing outside of the normal skeleton, so it grows in soft tissues," he said. "So what I need to do just now is build up in these next couple of weeks to really test it."

If he holds up physically, Murray indicated he could ask for a wild card into Miami. But if not, he said he could "need to potentially have that removed."
Another procedure would involve several more weeks on the sidelines, but the Scot insisted he wants to get back on tour.
"What I really want to do is get back to playing in the Slams," he said. That's what excites me and interests me. There is no reason why I can't."
Murray has not played Grand Slam singles since having hip surgery, though he has played several other singles events at the ATP level.
