ATP and WTA launch Tennis United weekly show

In a period of uncertainty, the WTA and ATP have joined together for Tennis United, a weekly show that will air every Friday.

Episodes are hosted by Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Vasek Pospisil, and feature interviews with players, discussions with influential figures, a look at the best social media posts of the week and a nod to all of the charitable efforts players are taking part in.

Tennis United aired its first episode on Friday with a montage thanking everyone on the frontline of the coronavirus. Hosts Mattek-Sands and Pospisil reported in from their respective homes, in Phoenix and Whistler, and showed viewers around their quarantine setups. The most impressive parts might be Mattek-Sands' home gym, and Pospisil's hot tub.

For the "Group Chat", Mattek-Sands brought in pal Sofia Kenin, while Pospisil added his compatriot Felix Auger-Aliassime. The episode also saw Donna Vekic and Jannik Sinner make appearances.

Unity is exactly what the tennis world needs right now, and the show will help keep the community's spirits lifted as the suspension of tournaments extends into the summer.
