Becker takes to Twitter to defend bankruptcy claims

The 49-year-old was declared bankrupt by the British court on Wed

Via Twitter, Boris Becker laid down his side of the story on his reported bankruptcy to his 656,000 followers. The news broke earlier on Wednesday that the German has been declared bankrupt by a British court for failing to pay an long-standing debt.

Becker's tweets speak for themselves:

The six-time Grand Slam champion's career peaked in the 1980s and early '90s with over $25 million earned in prize money.

Becker ended his somewhat rambling rant with a poignant closing statement:

Whether the 49-year-old has run out of money or not, one thing is for certain: Becker certainly hasn't run out of passion for the game.
