Bertens gets more time for puzzles in Eastbourne

It looks like Kiki Bertens will have time to finish her puzzle in Eastbourne. The world No. 4 revealed that she spends her nights off making puzzles.

Asked what she would do after her win on Wednesday, she said she'd have a quiet dinner, watch some women's World Cup and finish her puzzle.

"I like to do puzzles," she said. "So this week I brought a 2,000 piece one. It's almost done."

The reporter followed up with: "So you have to stay long in the tournament?"

"I have to stay long, otherwise I could not finish it," Bertens said. "That's another good thing, yes."

Bertens' run carried on with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 win over Aryna Sabalenka so consider that puzzle as good as finished. In the semifinals, she awaits the winner of Karolina Pliskova and Ekaterina Alexandrova.

This week's TENNIS.com Podcast features special guest CiCi Bellis, who's plotting a comeback after undergoing four surgeries.
