Djokovic—and Stefan—Back on Top

Ending an injury-exacerbated two-year Slam drought, Novak Djokovic returned to form at Wimbledon this year, delivering a double-marathon 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (9), 3-6, 10-8 semifinal win over Rafael Nadal, followed by a straight-sets victory in the final against Kevin Anderson.

Most special of all, Djokovic got to share the moment with his son, Stefan, who, because he was only 3 years old, wasn't allowed into the stadium until after the match.

"The first time in my life, I have someone screaming 'Daddy, Daddy!'"Djokovic said during the trophy ceremony.

The Wimbledon win set off a total reshaping of the men's-tennis landscape, with Djokovic taking titles in Cincinnati, at the US Open and in Shanghai. He reclaimed the No. 1 ranking on Nov. 5.

For the first time in a long time, Djokovic will likely be the men's favorite again come Melbourne.
