Dimitrov, Goffin lead with best of semifinal hot shots



Semifinal Saturday at the ATP Finals featured competitive tennis and one huge upset. Tournament favorite Roger Federer, who won this event six times from 2003 to 2011, lost 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 to David Goffin. The nightcap was a hard-fought 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 win for Grigor Dimitrov over American Jack Sock. These top shots made the list as ones to rewatch.

Everything but the Kitchen Sink

A 21-shot rally between Dimitrov and Sock utilized all corners and impressive varieties of shots. Dimitrov eventually hit a booming forehand that set up Sock’s last-ditch dive to stay in the point. Fortunately, a changeover followed because Sock looked like he needed a pillow and oxygen.

Dimitrov moves up to a career-high No. 3 and will take on new world No. 7 Goffin in a round-robin rematch that Dimitrov easily won 6-0, 6-2 on Wednesday.
