Dimitrov, Mertens brave cold-weather vacations
While most players have taken to beach vacations this off-season (with a particular obsession with the Maldives), a few have ventured off the beaten path. While Maria Sharapova, Garbine Muguruza and Lucas Pouille win points for exploring Africa instead, a few have braved the cold instead at proper winter destinations.
Elise Mertens took to Iceland, for a few days of icy action.
"Why got hot when you can go cold?" the Belgian asks.
Her photos do make you want to see the stunning scenery for yourself, even with the dipping temperatures and short hours of daylight.
Ice cream might be pushing it though. She may have just missed running into Stefanos Tsitsipas on the glaciers.
The Greek 21-year-old looks like he's having the time of his life taking photographs and meeting Icelandic strongman Hafthor Bjornsson.
And then there's Grigor Dimitrov in a furry winter jacket.
He's up in the French Alps, training in creative ways with rock climbing, mountain biking and even a 10K run.
In any case, all of the pros will be back to reality soon enough as off-season will soon turn to preseason training.
