Djokovic, Nadal, Federer back together again atop ATP rankings

In July of 2007, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic held the Top 3 ATP rankings, respectively, for the first time. This week, the gang is back together again after Federer jumped one spot to move to No. 3, unseating Alexander Zverev.

For over a decade, the Big 3 have each held the No. 1 spot numerous times. On Monday, Djokovic celebrated his 250th week at the summit of the ATP—he returned to No. 1 in November of 2018 following his victories at Wimbledon and the US Open. However, Federer leads the all-time list of most weeks spent atop the rankings, with a total of 310 weeks.

The three tennis legends have won a combined total of 52 Grand Slams and 93 Masters 1000 trophies.

All three are in Madrid this week. On Tuesday, Federer and Djokovic will play their openers—it will be the 37-year-old Swiss's first match on clay since 2016. Meanwhile, Nadal kicks off his campaign on Wednesday.
