Federer celebrates 99th title in Basel with dad jokes
On Sunday, Roger Federer captured title No. 99 in front of his home crowd in Basel. The world No. 3 didn't have it easy all week, surviving two three-setters on the way to the final, and needing a tiebreaker to get past a world No. 93-ranked Marius Copil in the final, 7-6 (5), 6-4.
The Swiss is celebrating No. 99 with a few dad jokes including a reference to the song "99 Luftballoons":

The win marks his ninth career crown in Basel, tying it with Halle for most titles he's won in one city. It's extra special as Basel is where he was a ball boy 25 years ago.

Federer doesn't actually have that much time to celebrate as he'll be seeking title No. 100 in Paris this week. He's the No. 3 seed and has a bye in the first round, where he awaits the winner of Jo-Wilfred Tsonga and Milos Raonic.
