Federer gives tour of 2019 Laver Cup stadium

"The moment they step foot into the arena it shows you a little history of the last few years," Roger Federer said during his exclusive tour of the 2019 Laver Cup venue at the Palexpo in Geneva.

That history is short, but memorable. Team Europe won the first Laver Cup in 2017, with Federer clinching the title in dramatic fashion over Nick Kyrgios.

Federer's teammate Rafael Nadal was a little excited about the win to say the least.

Asked if there will be a repeat celebration, Federer said: "Hopefully, or the other way: I'll jump on top of him this time... and break his back."

Last year in Chicago, Alexander Zverev pulled out the last win for Team Europe by besting Kevin Anderson.

"I think the atmosphere is going to be sick," Federer said. "It's just a massive space, and we've got enough space for Rafa behind the baseline so we're good."

The Swiss even took viewers into the locker room, which looked well-stocked, luxurious and huge. His locker is situated between Nadal and Dominic Thiem, who will kick off this weekend's matches on Friday against Denis Shapovalov.
