Racquet: Head Radical Pro 2025 ($309)

Every shot. Everywhere. That’s the tagline for the Head Radical, and the Pro certainly delivers on those all-court capabilities. It’s heaviest and most demanding member of the franchise with the high weight and swingweight that advanced players crave. It takes a skilled hand to wield effectively, but delivers a highly predictable and accurate ball.

The primary tweak of this latest installment is the addition of Auxetic 2.0, which expands the carbon fiber construction into added parts of the frame. Along with the yoke piece, it now occupies space at the end of the handle. It helps improve the response at contact, most notably on off-center hits. The flashy all-orange cosmetic does raise the wow factor, but otherwise it’s a subtle update that enhances the racquet’s feel without detracting from its ball-striking assets.

Apparel: On Court-T ($80) and Court Shorts ($80)

Along with Ben Shelton and Joao Fonseca, Cobolli is another of On’s growing roster of emerging stars. His Court-T is lightweight, airy and moves as he does. The regular fit, straight hemlines, internal neck tape and simple stitching are all designed to limit distractions. It’s available in multiple colorways that run from straightforward solids to bold patterns.

The Court Shorts are constructed with recycled polyester that won’t weigh you down while keeping sweat away from your body. A 5-inch inseam and side seam slits promote also contribute to the ease of motion. The fit of the shorts can be customized by an adjustable drawstring in the exposed waistband. And the deep side pockets have mesh lining to protect valuables and for better ventilation when matches heat up.

Shoes: On The Roger Pro 2 ($220)

Mirroring the foot type of it’s legendary namesake—and On investor—the Roger Pro sports a wide cut and low arch. So there’s lots of room for the foot to spread out on contact for good stability and court connection. A carbon fiber Speedboard in the midsole bolsters the shoe in and out of hard cuts, as well as energy return into each stride.

The first edition of the shoe caught strays for lacking durability, so this update got toughened up. The mesh on the upper has been reconfigured with a lighter, more abrasion-resistant material, the top cap is reinforced to protect against foot dragging, and a TPU clip and upper overlays give additional structure and support. The outsole also got reconfigured with a new tread pattern for a better combination of grip and give. There’s also a clay court version with a tighter tread for more assured sliding on the dirt.
