Halep features on cover of Elle magazine

While the woman who beat her in this year’s Australian Open final, Caroline Wozniacki, said her next goal is an Elle magazine cover, Simona Halep has beaten her to it.

The world No. 1 is featured on the cover of the Romanian edition of the fashion magazine, embracing a rare chance to model.

Featuring in her first major magazine shoot, the three-time Grand Slam finalist looked great.

Halep is an icon in Romania and her Elle cover will boost her star power even higher.

Her on-court week wasn't as great, with Halep falling in the Stuttgart quarterfinals to CoCo Vandeweghe in straight sets.
