Hsieh celebrates her AO run with "We Can Do It!" poster
Hsieh Su-Wei made history at the Australian Open this year and she's basking in her accomplishment. The 35-year-old reached the quarterfinals before falling to eventual champion Naomi Osaka.
Along the way, Hsieh entertained fans with her unique game style and candid personality. During an on-court interview, she gently chastised a reporter for mentioning her age.
It seems she's more than ready to embrace her age though, given her latest Instagram post:
"New record achieved after 2021 Australian Open: The oldest player in the Open era to be a first time quarter finalist in a Grand Slam," she wrote as the caption for her version of the "We Can Do It!" WWII poster.
Hsieh's ranking improved to No. 50 after her career-best performance in Melbourne.
