I'm Going to TennisWorld!
Well, as somebody once said, "Let the games begin!"
The deal: I have four tickets to Tennis magazine's luxury suite reserved for the lucky winner of the Tennis Magazine U.S. Open Trivia Challenge. That is, a pair of tickets for the day sessions of Wednesday, August 30th and Thursday, August 31st. Enough tennis to justify a trip to New York from just about anywhere. You'll be responsible for your own transportation and lodging; what we're providing is the precious tickets.
You'll notice that this will be early enough in the tournament so that, if you're a hardcore member of the TW tribe, you may not even want to set foot in the suite, except to grab a soft (or hard) drink and one of those pesto-chicken-chorizo whatever fancy little sandwiches they serve to keep you going through the day. That's cool -- you can come and go from the suite as you wish.
I'll be there to greet you and have a bite of lunch on Wednesday (we'll work out the details later), after which I'll peel off to go to work. But by then you'll probably want to do your own thing anyway, and you'll have the suite as your base of operations.
Here's how it works: Steggy and I are going to post clues to a trivia question three days running, starting tomorrow (Wednesday, 8/9). There is only one correct answer to the question. The 10th person to guess the answer correctly is the winner. You can enter as often as you like, from the time we post the first clue, but all entries must be submitted to TennisWorld@tennismagazine.com
We will not accept any other form of entry. For that reason, the Comments will not be open in the brief posts providing the clues. The winner will be announced on Monday, August 14th.
Good luck, and may the best man or woman win!
