Jasmine Paolini feels the love from Turin fans at ATP Finals

The top-ranked Italian woman proved a popular figure as she took in the action between Alex de Minaur and compatriot Lorenzo Musetti.

The crowd at the Nitto ATP Finals didn't just give Lorenzo Musetti a much needed boost on the way to victory on Tuesday. They also went found their voice in cheering vociferously for another Top 10-ranked Italian.

And not the one you're thinking of.

World No. 8 Jasmine Paolini, fresh off of her seond straight appearance at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, was an interested spectator for the action at Turin's Inalpi Arena. When she was shown on the video board during the three-set tussle between Musetti and Alex de Minaur, she got a big hand.

The only thing bigger was her smile upon realizing the reaction was for her.

Paolini loves her home nation as much as it loves her. In 2025, she became the first Italian woman to win the singles title at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome in 40 years, and a day later swept the trophies by also winning doubles with Sara Errani.

She also helped Italy win another BIllie Jean King Cup title, and was also named a torchbearer for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics.

"It's a dream to win in Rome, of course ... for every kid that's playing in Italy," Paolini said after upsetting Coco Gauff to win Rome. "I'm enjoying the moment. It's an amazing one."

She had another home-soil highlight in Turin.
