Konta applies for The Great British Bake Off

In one of the most on-brand moves ever, British No. 1 Johanna Konta has applied to be a contestant on The Great British Bake Off.

Konta, a tennis player by trade but a baker at heart, often posts pictures of her treats online. Her preferred hashtag is #CakeItTillYouMakeIt.

Some recent ones include an apple, pear and cranberry strudel:

Konta has even done some baking with Candice Brown, the winner of the Bake Off  in 2016.

In related, though no less sweet news, Konta has also been nominated for BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
