Kyrgios discusses bouncing back from controversy
The brash Australian lays down how he bounced back from a slow st
After a slow start to the 2017 season with a disappointing run in the Australian Open, followed by early losses at the next two Slams, Nick Kyrgios has slowly bounced back. He broke through last week by reaching his first ATP Masters final in Cincinnati and now believes he can take things to the next level.
"Something I've learned about myself is I can bounce back quite well," he told the ATP. "After the Australian Open, lost second round, I didn't know I was going to play for the next couple months or take it off. I played the Davis Cup and that was the best decision...reminding myself that tennis can be fun."
With memorable matches so far this season, such as his epic bout against Roger Federer in Miami, Kyrgios is looking forward to the final stretch of 2017. He enters the US Open ranked No. 18 in the world.
