The Argentine hit the deck multiple times in a 7-6 (2), 6-4 loss.

The news cycle in the tennis world moves fast—who can keep up? That's where we come in. Each Thursday, Last Year Today will look back at a memorable story from exactly one year ago.

It was 6'6" Juan Martin del Potro versus 6'10" John Isner in the battle of the gentle giants in the first round of Queen's Club. Isner managed to win the first set in a tiebreaker, before the Argentine lost his footing:

That wasn't Del Potro's only mishap on the grass on Wednesday:

The 2009 U.S. Open champion has been gravely hindered by multiple wrist surgeries over the past few years, and has only just been getting back into the swing of things in 2016. Here's hoping he hasn't added a new injury to his medical history.

Isner will face Gilles Muller in the second round.
