Laver Cup returning to The O2 in 2026, cementing London as first multi-edition host

The Laver Cup will return to The O2 in 2026, four years after the iconic venue memorably sent Roger Federer off into retirement with an emotional farewell that featured the 20-time major champion’s greatest rivals by his side.
On Wednesday, organizers revealed that London will become the first city in event history to get a second act. Federer, for one, couldn’t be more thrilled to bring it back to an arena filled with so much tennis nostalgia—between his own swan song and a decade-plus run as the Nitto ATP Finals host.
"My final match in 2022 was filled with emotion and unforgettable memories—being surrounded by my teammates who were also my greatest rivals—it was everything I could have hoped for,” Federer said in a statement. “I’m really looking forward to returning to such a meaningful place, this time as a fan, and experiencing the incredible Laver Cup atmosphere once again.”
Added Laver Cup Chairman and TEAM8 CEO Tony Godsick, “While we’ve traditionally taken the Laver Cup to new cities around the world each year, the response from London—from fans, partners and players—was truly overwhelming. The appetite to see Laver Cup return was impossible to ignore, and we’re excited to once again bring this unique tennis event back to The O2.”
Though Federer’s closing act may have dominated the headlines of that year’s edition, London marked the first time Team World conquered Team Europe in five attempts. The two squads boast new captains in Andre Agassi and Yannick Noah this year, with the American and Frenchman set to debut in San Francisco come September.
