Leslie Jones channels Serena in SNL skit

The US Open may have ended three weeks ago, but Leslie Jones didn't let that stop from her giving her best Serena Williams impression on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

"I spent all summer getting my body into Serena shape, so I'm gonna play Serena on TV," she said.

Jones went on to reenact Williams' rant at the umpire from the US Open final. Afterward, she wrote on Instagram: "Yaaaaaasss I love that I got to play @serenawilliams I hope she liked it!!"

Jones actually made it out to the US Open this year, where, of course, she kept making her famously funny sports observations, which she documented under #usopenisatrip.

Like a handful of other stars, Williams won't be back in competition until 2019.
