Madrid CC Day 4, Tarde
Afternoon, all.
One minor upset today in Madrid as Andy Roddick fell to Gael Monfils in three sets. Del Potro coming past Nalbandian probably doesn't count as an upset given the last half year of the two players, though those who remember Nalbandian's sparkling end to 2007 may have been disappointed by the clean kill administered by the younger player.
One match is still on court. Ivo Karlovic has taken a first set TB from Novak Djokovic. I'm not sure that a Karlovic victory on a very fast court would be a tremendous surprise, but no-one should count the world no 3 out - still a lot of tennis to play.
We're at 1100 or so comments for the day thread, so it's being gracefully retired. Please use the continuation to talk about tennis until the end of the day's play - afterwards, mildly off topic discussion is fine. Enjoy the rest of the day's tennis.
