Martina Navratilova to appear in Real Housewives of Miami reboot

Wife Julia Lemigova will feature as part of the main cast alongside the former world No. 1 on Peacock when the show premieres in December.

Martina Navratilova (probably) once said, “Whoever said, 'It's not whether you win or lose that counts,' probably lost.”

Now wouldn’t that make a spectacular Housewives tagline?

Unfortunately, the 18-time Grand Slam singles champion won’t be holding the Miami equivalent of a New York City apple or Beverly Hills diamond in the forthcoming reboot of the Real Housewives reboot—set to premiere on Peacock in December—but Navratilova will appear in the series alongside wife Julia Lemigova.

A former Miss USSR, Lemigova is the first LGBTQ+ Housewife to be cast on the show with a same-sex spouse, making history for a franchise on the precipice of entering its second decade. Real Housewives of Miami first aired on Bravo in 2011 and went on hiatus in 2013 after its third season. Navratilova married Lemigova in 2014 after proposing at that year’s US Open.

No word on whether Navratilova will sit for any of the franchise’s signature confessional interviews.
