Martina Navratilova to appear on Czech coin in 2018

Martina Navratilova, winner of 18 Grand Slam singles titles, is going to go down in history, again. The former No. 1 is going to appear on a Czech commemorative coin in 2018.

The 61-year-old was born in Prague, but switched to a United States citizenship for the majority of her career. She recently returned to her birth nation for the unveiling of the coins (along with three-time major winner Jan Kodes).

Navratilova has appeared on a stamp before, but this will be her first coin.

The Czech Mint will produce just 200 gold and 500 silver coins.
