McDonald celebrates best win of career over Del Potro

The match-point celebration was unexpected but so was the champion. World No. 84 Mackenzie McDonald stunned Juan Martin del Potro in the Delray Beach quarterfinals, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (5).

McDonald is still at the very start of his career after playing three years for UCLA. Going into Delray he was 1-3 at the ATP level in 2019, and up against a massive crowd favorite. He's rewarded with his first ATP semifinal appearance, against Radu Albot, on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old is the star of My Tennis Life Season 3, so fans can watch behind-the-scenes from his time on tour all year long.
