Monday, Monday. . .

Howdy. We're busying archiving past posts for the new weblog site, which we're hoping to have launched by the U.S. Open. Today, I'll be busy with a few other IT-related issues, so I won't be posting until later in the day. And to make matters worse, TennisWorld's Hillbilly Princess is in Tennessee and I'm having trouble raising her on the cell - I'm suffering phantom limb syndrome!

I thought that Andy Roddick's win this weekend perfectly underscored the recent discussions we've had about his game and, in general, the degree to which big-time tennis is first and foremost about the mind and heart, beyond a certain level of technical and strategic expertise.

I understand that the debate at TW got a little out of hand over the weekend, and we had to shut down the Comments section in the post below because things were getting, well, uncivil. Sorry about the inconvenience, but I hope most of you will agree that TW has been a better place to hang out lately, thanks to our peviously published Rules of Engagement.

I'll be back with you later. . .bear with me and, meanwhile, feel free to launch a new discussion here.
