Nadal reveals he took just one day off after wedding

R. Nadal: Pre-Tournament Interview

Rafael Nadal is the embodiment of "no days off." The 33-year-old is in Paris just over a week after getting married to Xisca Perello in Mallorca on October 19.

"After the wedding I had the Sunday off," Nadal said. "And then Monday, Tuesday, practice."

The Spaniard jetted to Kazakstan for an exhibition with Novak Djokovic, before arriving in Paris for the final ATP Masters 1000 of the year. He's hot on Djokovic's tail for the year-end No. 1 ranking with just 320 points separating them.

"After the wedding it's time to be back on the tour," Nadal told Tennis Channel's Prakash Amritraj. "Here I am, excited to be back in this amazing city and playing here in Paris again. Let's see if I'm able to make something good here."

Nadal has never won the Masters title in Paris before, despite all of his success just 7.5 miles away over at Roland Garros. He reached the final of the hard-court event in 2007, and has appeared in two semifinals since then.
