New iguana comes to town at the Miami Open
Move over boys, there's a new iguana in town. At least it might be a boy?
While everyone has been mourning the loss of the Miami Open's old home in Key Biscayne where iguanas and peacocks ran absolutely rampant, one iguana made a stand for Miami Gardens.
During the rain delay on Monday, "Iguana-Martin Del Potro" tried to get a view of the Grandstand.
He picked up some attention, as an iguana near a tennis court is wont to do. And even inspired this song: "Iggy, Iggy, Iggy, can't you see, sometimes your scales just hypnotize me."
But despite his best efforts, he's just not the same as Crandon Park's original Iggy.
Who knows though, maybe more iguanas will come to play at the Hard Rock Stadium this week.
