First! (to use the new 2008 category on typepad, that is). By request, here is a new thread to use for discussing today's tennis. Here in the UK I'll be watching Doha; some mystery "Tennis" programme has also made itself known, but unidentified, under the Sky Sports Xtra listings on my TV - could that be Hopman Cup? Chennai? Adelaide?

Today's photo is from the opening ceremony yesterday in Chennai, as the Saturnian Year of Carlos continues apace (that means approximately 29.5 Earth years....)
