Norrie leaps from airplane in Los Cabos

Rising British player Cameron Norrie took a huge dive—from a plane—in Los Cabos as an early 23rd-birthday present from his coach, Facundo Lugones.​

"I think it was supposed to be like 45 seconds free fall, but it felt like 10 seconds," Norrie said.

"You're crazy," his mom told him on the phone afterward. "Why did you do that?"

Norrie has shot up the rankings from No. 199 to No. 74 in the past year. He plays No. 4 seed Adrian Mannarino in the quarterfinals of Los Cabos on Thursday.

At least now he can check "skydiving" off his bucket list.
