Can you say dream team?

On Friday, Laver Cup officials announced Novak Djokovic would join Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray on an incredible Team Europe squad.

“It’s the only competition where you can play in a team environment with guys that you’re normally competing against and to be joining Rafa, Roger and Andy—three of my biggest all-time rivals—it’s going to be a truly unique moment in the history of our sport," Djokovic said in a statement.

The men's team event, which debuted in 2017, will be held at The O2 in London. In that city, the aforementioned champions have combined to win every Wimbledon title since 2003, with Djokovic raising his seventh at SW19 just under two weeks ago for his 21st major trophy.

Djokovic has made one prior Laver Cup appearance, in 2018 at Chicago. The Serbian will seek his first match win in the competition after dropping his respective singles and doubles debuts.

Team Europe has won all four editions against Team World, and is coming off its most emphatic victory in Boston without boasting any member of the Big 4. Two roster spots remain open.

As for Team World, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz and Diego Schwartzman were previously confirmed.
