Novak Djokovic steps out with trophy ahead of Copa Libertadores final in Buenos Aires

The 24-time major winner is in town to help send off Juan Martin del Potro at a farewell exhibition for the Tower of Tandil.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Novak Djokovic was part of the ceremony before the Copa Libertadores final at Monumental de Nunes Stadium on Saturday.

The tennis great is in Argentina to play an exhibition match on Sunday with former US Open champion Juan Martín del Potro, who is retiring from tennis.

Djokovic, owner of a men's record 24 Grand Slam titles, helped to carry the Copa trophy onto the pitch. He did not express a preference for the Brazilian finalists Botafogo and Atletico Mineiro.

He supports Red Star Belgrade in his native Serbia. He has also declared he likes two foreign teams; Manchester United and AC Milan.

Botafogo is playing for its first Copa Libertadores title, while Mineiro won in 2013 with Ronaldinho.
