Novak Djokovic vs. Nick Kyrgios in Indian Wells’ second round? Where to watch the BNP Paribas Open

INDIAN WELLS, Calif.—It’s been a minute since the tours have convened in the same location, but time’s up. The BNP Paribas Open brings tennis’ best back together, and the only place to watch it is on Tennis Channel. The television network and streaming service—TennisChannel.com—will deliver 120 live hours of coverage from March 5 to 16.

- face Nick Kyrgios in the second round (if Kyrgios defeats a TBD qualifier)
- face Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinals
Kyrgios, who has played (and lost) two singles matches this year, has played Djokovic at Indian Wells before. They met in the round of 16 in 2017, with Djokovic winning 6-4, 7-6 (3).
Alcaraz is 3-5 against Djokovic, with the Serbian winning their last two encounters and four of their last five. They’ve never played each other at Indian Wells.—Ed McGrogan
Indian Wells WTA Draw Preview
A number of top seeds could face immediate challenges once they begin play in the second round. World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka—just 1-2 since losing the Australian Open final—will face either McCartney Kessler or Anna Blinkova. Kessler, who made her Top 50 debut this year, just finished runner-up in Austin and already has a hard-court title this season.

Sabalenka’s conqueror in Melbourne, Madison Keys, will face either Anastasia Potapova or Jessica Bouzas Maneiro.
Coco Gauff vs. Emma Raducanu—two former US Open champions—is a possible second-rounder, but only if the Brit gets past Moyuka Uchijima.
Defending Indian Wells champion and No. 2 seed Iga Swiatek will face either Caroline Garcia or Bernarda Pera.
And in one of the more tantalizing round-two possibilities, Zheng Qinwen, the WTA No. 9 and Olympic gold medalist, could face two-time Indian Wells champion Victoria Azarenka (or a TBD qualifier).—Ed McGrogan
