Osaka honors names at the US Open



At the US Open, Naomi Osaka has stepped out for every match with a mask bearing the name of a different Black person who has been killed by the police. Ahead of the tournament, she stated that her goal was to wear seven, and she's managed to do just that by winning six matches to reach the final, where Victoria Azarenka awaits.

The families have noticed, and so has the world.

"I think the responses that meant the most to me are probably people saying thank you," she said. "And for me, I don't know, it always takes me by surprise because I don't know if I feel like I'm doing anything. But people say thank you and I'm proud of you, and for me that's something that's really touching to my heart."
