When Aryna Sabalenka stopped by the Tennis Channel desk following her semifinal victory at the Miami Open on Thursday, she was joined by one very special guest.
Her goddaughter Nicole instantly won over hearts during their live appearance, waving to audiences watching back home as she sat on Sabalenka's lap. On Saturday, Nicole was back at Hard Rock Stadium to see her favorite tennis player lift a maiden Miami trophy after the three-time major winner swept past Jessica Pegula, 7-5, 6-2.
“She was my lucky charm during these weeks. We should consider bringing her more often,” Sabalenka would tell us.
