PHOTOS: Daniil Medvedev celebrates Almaty Open triumph with family, dedicates title to daughter Victoria
The former world No. 1 ended an 882-day trophy drought with his three-set win over Corentin Moutet.

On Sunday, Daniil Medvedev triumphed over Corentin Moutet at the Almaty Open to end an 882-day title drought dating back to May 2023.
The second seed’s 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 victory was extra special, as the full Medvedev family clan was in attendance to witness his return to the winner’s circle.
During the trophy ceremony, Medvedev dedicated his 21st career title to youngest daughter Victoria, who was joined by older sister Alisa and mom Daria to celebrate the Russian’s crowning moment.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a title is really nice," he said. "This title is in honor of my second daughter, Victoria, because the first title I got when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her. So this one's for Victoria."
Medvedev (along with Moutet) was presented a chapan, a traditional Kazakh robe symbolizing honor, respect and hospitality in recognition of one’s merit or excellence. The 29-year-old continued his infamous streak that began in January 2018 at the Sydney International, now owning 21 titles from 21 different cities on the ATP Tour.
