Puig raises relief funds for Puerto Rico

Monica Puig, Puerto Rico's first gold medalist, is hoping her platform can make a difference. With Hurricane Maria ravaging the island as a Category 4 storm, she's asking for help.

Puig is currently in Asia, where she just lost in the second round of the Premier event in Tokyo. She'll play in Wuhan next.

The world No. 67 has created a You Caring donation page. All of the proceeds will go to relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

The last time Puerto Rico was hit by a hurricane of this strength was in 1932.
