Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray will play the Aspall Tennis Classic exhibition event at the Hurlingham Club to get some extra match play on grass before Wimbledon.

Nadal has not played any grass-court events this season, withdrawing from the Aegon Championships in London following his French Open victory. Murray, who reached the semifinals of the French Open, exited in the first round of the Aegon Championships.

Nadal told Spanish press that the "level I have today is not sufficient for me to compete the way I would like at Wimbledon."

The Spaniard has been practicing at home in Mallorca on the site of the WTA event there. He has not played a tournament on grass since 2015. "That is a handicap against players who have been," he said. "The first few matches will be very important."

Murray will play two exhibition matches at the event. He said the club's "great setting" was "an ideal opportunity" to get some extra play on grass.

Milos Raonic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who exited in the first and second round at Queen's Club, respectively, will also be among those playing.
