Venus Williams has reportedly parted ways with her longtime coach and hitting partner David Witt.

The two had worked together for 11 years. Williams reached two Grand Slam finals in 2017 and finished at No. 5, but the 38-year-old has since fallen to No. 38 following a lackluster season.

During a televised interview at the US Open, Witt indicated that the seven-time Grand Slam champion has been having some injury problems.

Williams is scheduled to return to competition at the Abu Dhabi exhibition at the end of this month against her younger sister, Serena.
