On Thursday, after defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas by the first seven digits above, Richard Gasquet’s career singles win total became the last three.
The 36-year-old Frenchman is now the fourth active player to have won 600 matches, joining Rafael Nadal (1,068 wins), Novak Djokovic (1,058 wins) and Andy Murray (725 wins).
And Gasquet didn’t complete the rare milestone the easy way: he did so by taking out the No. 1 seed at the grass-court Boss Open in Stuttgart.
Per journalist Jose Morgado, it’s just the third time Gasquet has defeated a Top 10 player on grass, with Andy Roddick and Stan Wawrinka (both at Wimbledon, and both in the quarterfinals).
Gasquet, whose last name doesn't rhyme with racquet, has reached three Grand Slam semifinals in his career: at Wimbledon in 2007 and 2015, and at the 2013 US Open. He has also reached three ATP Masters finals, one on clay in Hamburg in 2005, and two on hard courts in Toronto.
- 2005 Hamburg final: loses to Federer

- 2007 Wimbledon semifinal: loses to Federer
- 2012 Toronto final: loses to Djokovic
- 2013 US Open semifinal: loses to Nadal
- 2015 Wimbledon semifinal: loses to Djokovic

Meanwhile, Tsitsipas is 0-1 in the "Tsitsidosa" era.
