Roddick's #LoveAll: Rubin donates 1000 water bottles to NY hospital
"I'm just hoping to put a little bit of a smile on their face and give them something they desperately need," said ATP player Noah Rubin.
Amidst heartbreak and tragedy, more and more people are coming together to support and care for neighbors, strangers, elderly and essential workers. Each week, Grand Slam champion Andy Roddick highlights the most touching stories around the globe through his #LoveAll series.
"Hey everybody, I know you've heard me rant and rave with the issues about professional tennis right now, but it's nothing compared to what the pandemic is actually doing," said ATP player Noah Rubin.
The 24-year-old is currently in New York, one of the most affected regions in the world right now. The American understands that many people are struggling emotionally and is doing what he can to help. Teaming up with VOSS Water, Rubin provided some relief to those on the frontlines by donating 1,000 water bottles to Northwell Health's Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
"I'm just hoping to put a little bit of a smile on their face and give them something they desperately need," Rubin said.
VOSS Water has donated 700,000 water bottles to aid courageous doctors, nurses and first responders in staying hydrated as they selflessly continue to save lives. The company is also inviting influencers, musicians and celebrities to select a hospital or charity of their choice to partner with.
Although tragedy is present, the overwhelming amount support has provided hope for a better tomorrow. Retired NFL coach Tony Dungy's son is also doing what he can, and is even putting himself at risk to help serve his community by working at a local grocery store.
The stories spotlighted in Roddick's movement are just a fraction of the kindhearted gestures the world has seen this week—proving every day that love can conquer all.
